Skilled Nursing
Skilled nursing refers to a type of care provided to individuals who require extensive medical care and attention. This includes patients recovering from surgeries, injuries, or illnesses, and those who require assistance with daily living activities. Skilled nursing facilities provide 24/7 care, including nursing care, medication management, rehabilitation services, and assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs).
killed nursing differs from other types of care, such as assisted living and independent living, in several ways. While assisted living provides assistance with ADLs, it does not offer 24/7 medical care or rehabilitation services. Independent living is designed for seniors who are still able to live independently but may require some assistance with daily activities.
Skilled nursing facilities are also different from nursing homes, as nursing homes primarily provide long-term care for individuals with chronic illnesses or disabilities. Skilled nursing facilities, on the other hand, are designed for short-term stays, typically lasting several weeks to a few months.
